About The Sharing Cyclone

A blog all about riding the roller coaster: discovery, discussion, and dissection of what it means to share in today’s dizzying digital world

About the Author, Christy Pill:

Christy PillI hail from wild and wonderful West Virginia, but have enjoyed marketing performing arts in New York City since the summer of 2005. In my current role at Miller Theatre, I handle a varied array of items: press releases and outreach, concert playbills, eblasts, print collateral, and advertisements, to name a few.

In 2006 I began my graduate journey in strategic communications at Columbia University—this led to the class that led to this blog. I also attended the University of Richmond, where I studied arts management and dance. While I clearly love the arts, “communications” in general are growing on me. So who knows what the long-term future could hold? I’m open-minded.

In my spare time I like to cook, eat, practice bikram yoga, lollygag in Central Park, and take in dance and theater shows. I live in Washington Heights, aka Upstate Manhattan. It’s far, but not too much so, and I appreciate my view of the Hudson and the Palisades.
